Alexander Contracting Co., Inc. is a third-generation site development and highway contractor based in Columbus, Georgia. We pursue projects within a one hundred mile radius around Columbus, covering West Central Georgia and East Central Alabama. These projects range in size from $100,000 up to $50 Million.
Projects
Flyover - Muscogee County, GA
This $17 million project is scheduled to be completed in October 2009. Contracted by the Georgia Department of Transportation, this project consists of 1.3 miles of interchange reconstruction on Interstate 185 in Muscogee County and new design of interchange between Victory Drive and I-185, adjacent to the entrance of Fort Benning. Our work has included 400,000 cubic yards of earthwork; 50,000 tons of graded aggregate base; asphalt and concrete paving; curb and gutter; and 30 foot high retaining wall construction.
